Effective Thursday, February 1, 2007, Pay.Gov will be updating their software. Users will now be required to complete the security code field. The security code is usually a 3 digit code located on the reverse side of your credit card following the account number. Although the security code field has been on the data entry screen and its use has been optional, as of February 1, it will become a required field, as an additional protection for credit card holders.
